“Stop inviting me to your weight loss groups.”
Bro, first, I don’t own any weight loss groups.
Second, you know that you can opt out of whatever you want, don’t you?
But you know what? My weight does matter to me, and why should I be punished for it?
And to me, it’s not really about weight loss. It’s about:
- Looking and feeling great (call me vain if you want)
- Maintaining and improving my health (I’ve had some, thankfully minor, conditions crop up in the last few years that I’m beginning to understand better)
- Ensuring my mental faculties are intact – this one is HUGE (how else am I going to keep doing what I’m doing – writing, music, community, and business?)
Coincidentally (and it really is coincidental, because I haven’t shared much about my weight loss anywhere, and it really has absolutely nothing to do with Facebook groups), I have had some major wins this year.
The Weight Loss Cure You Probably Discarded, Overlooked, and Called a Scam
When I began my weight loss journey, I didn’t think I needed it.
I was sleeping, meditating, exercising, working out, and eating healthy (well, mostly). Why would I need to lose weight?
But when I started Phase 2 of the multi-phase weight loss protocol (more on this shortly), I weighed 281.5 lbs.
Wait, what?!
That’s fully 30 to 40 lbs. more than my usual setpoint.
Okay, there were two factors I hadn’t originally accounted for.
One, I started lifting weights again in 2023, and I had a pretty good sense that I had gained muscle mass (confirmed).
Second, well, it’s kind of embarrassing, but… My bubble tea addiction got the best of me. Too much milk and sugar!
Once or twice a week is probably not a big deal, but at times, I was having five teas per week, sometimes twice a day.
Oops.
But the good news is that Phase 1 prepares you for rapid weight loss in Phase 2.
And boy, did I lose some weight.
Dropping 1 to 2 lbs. Per Day
This is where I need to give a brief disclaimer that I’m not a healthcare practitioner. Best to consult a qualified professional if you’re considering any changes to your diet or routine.
Anyway, my sources told me that while on the Phase 2 hCG protocol, I should expect to lose 1 to 2 lbs. per day.
Phase 2 can be a bit of a mental battle… tea breakfast, 250-calorie lunch, 250-calorie dinner. It’s not much.
People might say that’s unsafe, and I’ve even heard some horror stories.
Well, yeah. I’m not going to get into the science here, and like I said, I’m not a healthcare practitioner anyway…
But you should never try this without hCG, period. That’s how you get into trouble.
Anyway, the weight did start coming off.
273.8, 266.3, 257.9, 248.6, 242…
I kind of got greedy after a while, to be honest.
Because I wanted more weight to come off faster.
(It was plenty fast in retrospect. It just didn’t feel that way. I didn’t feel like I was living while in Phase 2. Weird, I know, but I don’t know how else to describe it.)
But I felt incredible on the hCG protocol, seriously. I noticed this even more when I came off of it.
By the way, I only did Phase 2 for 40 days, which is where I lost most of the weight.
Yes, 50 lbs. in 40 days!
Going on this protocol is also how I discovered my sensitivity to dairy.
Figuring that out has been huge for me, because I can breathe easier now, literally.
Where I Got This “Stupid” Idea
I do think bodies are individual rather than being standardized, so…
Maybe this thing isn’t for everybody.
But did it work for me? Yes.
Did I feel incredible doing it? Yes.
Would I do it again? Yes.
Was it effective? You bet.
Have I kept the weight off? YES!
My weight was fluctuating after the hCG protocol, especially in Phase 3, but it generally bounced back to approximately 237.
So, where did I get this?
Well, it’s not some unknown, esoteric thing. It’s been around for decades.
Sure, it might have been suppressed or even discredited.
But the weird thing about that?
The most effective things have a way of being discredited one way or another. It’s just the way the system works.
What I did was I followed the steps in Kevin Trudeau’s The Weight-Loss Cure “They” Don’t Want You to Know About.
Get it, don’t get it, it’s up to you. I’ve linked it up either way (affiliate link).
Like I said, it may not be for everyone.
But I only followed 60 to 70% of what he said to do, and look what happened. I still got insane results.
The Journey Doesn’t End Here…
I’m definitely not holding myself up as the image of human perfection.
In the last few years, I’ve been successful in gaining some muscle mass and losing fat, but there are new plateaus waiting to be reached.
I’m not trying to get anywhere, as it were. I have some thoughts on how I imagine myself looking, but I’m not driving towards a specific weight, and don’t think I ever have been.
Nevertheless, I’m starting a new program, and I’m looking for people to join me. This is something we can do together!
It’s not the hCG protocol. It really is a personal choice whether you take that on.
This is something new that will improve your health and lead to steady, safe weight loss over time.
So, would you like to join me on my next health journey?
Send me an email so I can tell you more. https://davidandrewwiebe.com/?p=27799
